What I've been up to the past couple weeks
It's been kind of a crazy-busy couple of weeks.
There are a lot of hectic deadlines at work, and too little time to do it all.
Also, last Friday was the start of the annual meeting for the board of councilors of Save-the-Redwoods League, which Velma spends several months organizing each year. It's a big undertaking, with almost 200 people involved, and it's always at some far-flung location. This year it was Crescent City, on the CA coast, near the Oregon border.
I usually go along as the official photographer. But this year that meant taking a couple days off work, and leaving at 6:30 am on Friday. Ugh.
It was a nice trip, but not terribly restful. Got some good pictures to post starting next week, though.
Yesterday and today have been mostly spent at An Event Apart, a web design conference taking place in downtown SF. I've been walking back and forth between work and the hotel where the conference takes pace, trying to cover all bases. Oh yeah, and there was the blood donation appointment yesterday.
This weekend is our first anniversary, and I am taking Velma away for a couple nights to a surprise location. I hope I can get some sleep this weekend, since I've been yawning like crazy for the past three days.
