Chow.com's new Obsessives feature The first series of videos is a barista from Blue Bottle Coffee telling you all kinds of great stuff about how to make truly great coffee. And he only gets a tad too snarky and holier-than-thou about two-thirds of the way through the videos. www.chow.com/stories/10625
Zack Kim The Simpsons theme, and other stuff, played by one guy with two guitars. I think "Prelude No.3 in C# major" is my fave. youtube.com/watch?v=GFqTd-CEjHM
Painted rooms Local artists have painted the walls (and sometimes the fixtures and ceilings) of a bunch of rooms in this hotel. It's pretty cool. I wanna go see it. www.sfhoteldesarts.com/pr201kellytunstall.php

Introducing 42West.net
I'm proud to announce that my latest client project has gone live.
42West is one of the biggest PR firms in the entertainment industry, with clients including Woody Allen, Uma Thurman, Kate Winslet, Eminem, Sydney Pollack, and Steven Spielberg, not to mention numerous film studios, TV networks, and other companies.
I was contacted a couple months ago by 42West partner Allan Mayer, a founding editor of Buzz magazine, former senior editor of Newsweek, and a reporter for the Wall Street Journal. He liked my work and needed a site for 42West, which had been operating for over a year with their new name but still didn't have a presence on the web.
The site features a relatively simple but striking design, playing their logo big and using soft-focus photos of nightlife lighting in the background.
The entire site conforms to web standards. It validates for xHTML 1.0 Strict, and the CSS validates too.

More reasons to like New Belgium
New Belgium's Fat Tire has been my favorite beer for a couple years now. But when I saw this video and the supporting website FollowYourFolly.com, I realized I liked the company even more.

Posting new photos
I got behind in posting photos to the photoblog last fall when we were rapidly approaching the Hitchin' and I had to devote time to that. I wanted to post a photo every day, and I'd been able to do it for quite a while, but after I slipped behind, it was compounded by several other delays, like our honeymoon and then moving.
I'd tried to catch up by back-posting a few weeks' worth of photos at a time, but it seemed I'd never catch up, so I've decided to throw in the towel and just pick up from now and go forward. Maybe I'll be able to back-fill the hole sometime in the future, but I'm not going to worry about it anymore.
I've got over 10 GB of photos from 2007 alone that I want to show some of, so screw it! Onward!

Heading to Missouri for a week
Velma and I leave Sunday morning for seven days in Missouri. We'll spend a bunch of time with her family in and near the capitol Jefferson City, including the 4th of July, and we'll also go to St. Louis to visit friends and the awesome City Museum.
Then I'll head to Kansas City for the Heinlein Centennial on 07/07/07. I've been looking forward to this event celebrating the 100th birth year of one of the most influential authors of the 20th Century, and certainly the most influential on me personally. Yes, I'm a dork.
Our friends Carmen and Teg, Olya, and Laura will be looking after our problem child Orson. May the Force be with them.
